For more than 30 years, although its formal constitution and registration dates from exactly 15 years ago, AEPEV has been contributing to the knowledge and dissemination of wine through journalism and communication professionals. Exactly 13 years ago, the AEPEV Awards for the best Spanish Wines were created and since then every January 1, the awards for the best wines have been published after a double round vote.

Also since 2016, the AEPEV has recognized the best project, initiative or work carried out in favor of the Culture of Wine. These Awards, WINE IS CULTURE, have in a short time become one of the most important references of the culture of wine in Spain.

AEPEV associates are also participants in the training actions carried out by the Association and many are kept up-to-date in their knowledge due to their participation in different International Wine Competitions where they are required through these.

Integration in FIJEV

The AEPEV is about to be integrated as an organization this year into FIJEV (International Federation of Wine Journalists and Writers) and through both organizations, millions of people who are fond of wine will have a good reference to the advances of Spanish wine.
