THE EC EXPECTS GREATER STABILITY IN THE WINE MARKET AT THE END OF THE CURRENT 2020/21 CAMPAIGN

According to the recent summer report of the European Commission on the Outlook for the Agricultural Markets of the EU in the short term, EU exports of wine from the EU could increase by 4.4% in the still current 2020/21 campaign, which concludes next July 31 with respect to the previous campaign.
According to the forecasts of this new seasonal report, wine production in the European Union this season will remain at around 157 million hectoliters, 9% and 13 million more in relation to the low production (144 Mhl) of the 2019/20 campaign, with a decrease in Italy and Portugal, compared to an increase in the volumes produced in France, Germany and Spain.
