The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has published today, in the Official State Gazette, the call for applications for subsidies to finance guarantees for the purchase of agricultural machinery, endowed with three million euros.
The BOE contains the extract of the call for applications for the subsidies established in Royal Decree 244/2021, of 6 April, aimed at obtaining guarantees from the Sociedad Anónima Estatal de Caución Agraria (Saeca), by holders of agricultural holdings or agricultural service companies that guarantee loans for the purchase of new agricultural machinery.
The deadline for submitting applications begins tomorrow, 30 April, and ends on 1 September.
The budget of the call is three million euros, which will generate a multiplier effect of up to 50 million euros, and will be used to promote the renewal of the agricultural machinery fleet by improving access to credit linked to the purchase of new machinery. This will contribute to reducing production costs, improving safety conditions at work and incorporating the best agricultural practices from an environmental point of view.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food will subsidise the cost of the guarantee for loans for the purchase of machinery for an amount of up to 100,000 euros, during the first 10 years of the guaranteed loan, with the possibility of a one-year grace period. The costs of the subsidised guarantee correspond to the guarantee commission (1,15 % of the outstanding balance of the credit during all the years of its validity) and the study commission (0,5 % of the amount requested, which is paid only once at the beginning of the credit).
The machinery purchased must be included in the group of machines for which registration in the Official Agricultural Machinery Registers is compulsory. Other machinery includes tractors, agricultural trailers, tanks for the transport and distribution of liquids, equipment for phytosanitary treatments or the distribution of fertilisers, towed or suspended, slurry spreaders and accessories for the localised distribution of slurry.
